PC Cleaners for Windows

Eight Windows tools that free disk space, remove programs or show what is filling a drive. They are not interchangeable: some delete junk files by rule, some draw a map of your folders, and some remove installed programs. The table below uses each developer's own pages, checked on 23 October 2026.

FreePcSofts is independent and not affiliated with any developer listed. Every download button opens the developer's official site.

Scope: figures are copied from the eight PC Cleaners program pages, each of which lists its sources. Where a developer's own pages disagree, the program page shows both values.

Choosing by job: clean, map or uninstall

Start with the job. To see what fills a drive, WinDirStat and WizTree draw folder sizes; WizTree is free for personal use only, while WinDirStat is open source under the GPL. To remove programs, Revo Uninstaller and Bulk Crap Uninstaller both look for leftovers, and Bulk Crap Uninstaller is open source. To delete junk by rule, CCleaner, BleachBit and Wise Disk Cleaner work from lists of known locations, and Microsoft PC Manager is Microsoft's own free app for Windows 10 and 11. Windows also has Storage Sense and the Installed apps list built in.

Windows support differs. Bulk Crap Uninstaller 6 and BleachBit list Windows 10 and later, while WizTree and Wise Disk Cleaner list older versions too, and the Wise pages disagree with each other on that point.
