The current Revo Uninstaller Freeware is version 2.7.2, released on 6 October 2026, according to the developer's version history. It runs a program's own uninstaller first and then scans for leftover files and registry entries. The paid edition, Revo Uninstaller Pro, adds features such as Forced Uninstall and Backup Manager. Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, 11 and Windows Server editions are supported, in 32-bit and 64-bit.
The developer's page for the free edition lists this as what it includes: the built-in uninstaller run plus leftover scan, removal of Windows Apps, Hunter Mode, and eight extra cleaning tools such as Autorun Manager, Junk Files Cleaner and Browsers Cleaner.
Free and Pro
The comparison table on the developer's page did not load its checkmarks when it was read, so this page lists only what the page states in words. It names Forced Uninstall and Backup Manager as Pro features. Without the table, the rest of the free-versus-Pro split cannot be confirmed from the page.

| 2.6.5 | 9 Dec 2025 | Improved leftover scanning, minor fixes, updated language files |
Computed from the dates above: gaps of 76, 78 and 147 days between the four releases, an average of about 100 days. The last release was 17 days old on the check date of 23 Oct 2026. The page's metadata gives an earlier last-updated date than the releases it lists, so the dates are as printed in the release list.
All four entries mention leftover scanning, which fits what the program is for. The 147-day gap between 2.7.0 and 2.7.2 is the longest of the three. A slower cadence than a cleaner such as Wise Disk Cleaner, whose releases came about every 34 days over the past ten months, is a fact to weigh and not a flaw in itself, because an uninstaller changes less often than a program that carries new cleaning rules for dozens of applications.
What leftover scanning means for the registry
Microsoft's support policy page says it does not support the use of registry cleaning utilities. A leftover scan lists registry entries that remain after a program is removed, which is a narrower task than a general registry cleaner, but the same caution is reasonable. The version history describes "safety checks" in the leftover scanner as improved in 2.7.0 and 2.7.2, and Backup Manager is named as a Pro feature.
What Windows already does
Windows 10 and 11 uninstall programs from Settings under Installed apps, and Microsoft's performance article lists uninstalling unused apps and disabling startup apps as separate solutions. The free edition's Autorun Manager overlaps with the second. What Windows does not do on its own is scan for files and registry entries left behind afterwards, which is the reason this category of tool exists.
Alternatives in this directory
Bulk Crap Uninstaller is free and open source under Apache 2.0, and it handles many programs at once. CCleaner includes its own tools for removing programs and managing startup. For removing the extensions that a browser keeps, the browser's own extension page is the starting point, for instance in Google Chrome.
What the free edition's extra tools are
The developer's page says the free edition includes eight additional tools, among them Autorun Manager, Junk Files Cleaner and Browsers Cleaner. Hunter Mode is one of the free edition's features, and the version history says it has fully supported Windows apps since 2.7.0.
The free portable edition is described as non-installable and as writing nothing to the Windows registry. It must be activated after download, and the page does not explain the activation step.
The Pro trial runs 30 days and needs no credit card. Pro licences are described as lifetime use licences that include one year of updates; after that year, newer versions need a renewal.
